Vision/Basic Beliefs

Vision speaks to what we believe. We believe in prayer. We believe God is active in the world today. We believe that anyone who calls on the name of Jesus to be their Lord and Savior, seeks forgiveness for their sins and puts their faith in Him will be saved. We believe that God desires all to be saved. We beleive that Woodland has a responsibility to share that message with others through mission and ministry. We believe we are called to reach our world with the gospel and share Christ's love with others along the way. We believe that a church should do its very best to reach it's Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and out to the outermost bounds of the earth. We do this by participating in and supporting missions and ministry in our area and across the globe. We do this by participating with other churches, as well as local, state and national missions organizations. We participate with the Long Run Association here in Louisville as well as the Kentucky Baptist Convention and the Kentucky Baptist Fellowship in missions and ministry across the state. We support missions globally through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship as well as the Southern Baptist Convention. We do so in this manner to respect the wishes and needs of our congregation. We adhere to the 1963 Baptist Faith and Message. We are a diverse congregation which supports God's work across our globe in a variety of ways and through various means. We do so recognizing God can use any gift given with a willing heart for His kingdom's glory. Our vision is expanded in the next several tabs.
