Wow!

VBS is over. Boomerang Express has passed on by, but we’re glad you were here to take part in our Vacation Bible School this year and we hope your kids had a great time. We want everyone to know that you are welcome here at Woodland anytime during the year, not just during VBS.

I would like to extend a personal invitation to each person reading this note of thanks to come and experience Woodland at its very best – on Sunday. We have services at 8:30 and 11:00 am each Sunday morning. We worship in a warm blended style of worship which meets everyone’s needs. We have Sunday School at 9:45 between our worship services. We have classes for each age group from infants to oldies. We also meet on Wednesday nights at 6:30 for worship and prayer.

Now that VBS is over, if you are looking for a church home we strongly encourage you to give Woodland a try. We are a church that cares about our community. We have ministries serving many in our community. We work with the homeless through our partnership with the Jeff Street Mission at Liberty. We offer young mother’s an opportunity for fellowship and fun with our MOPS program (Mother’s of Preschoolers). We began offering Upward Soccer this spring and will have another league this coming spring for boys and girls ages 4 and up.

We minister to senior adults at the Forum Health Center. We also have our Woodland Wonders group for the senior adults who are still active and young at heart. We offer missions experiences throughout the year for all ages. We have an active prison ministry at Lagrange Prison. We offer Bible studies through our Discipleship Training ministry that go on around the year for men, women, couples, singles and youth. We have a Divorce Care group and a Financial Peace University program.

We have youth and children’s programming throughout the year as well. We have started some home groups for our kids and growing up kids this year. We have Starflow for our 18 through college kids, Outflow for our highschool kids and will be starting Blast for our Middleschoolers. We offer AWANA, a fun, interactive, Bible based children’s program that is out of this world Sunday nights during the school year.

We have an active women’s ministry and men’s ministry too. We have an ever growing church library that is available to all those that attend our church. The library has Bible study tools, fiction and non fiction for all ages, videos and movies as well. Our music ministry is for all ages as well. We are always looking for talented individuals to add to our choirs and praise teams.

Could Woodland be for you? Truthfully, only God knows. Why don’t you ask him? He might just want you to give us a try. See you Sunday, or some Sunday soon.
